My ten year old loves to squeeze my upper arms. Even though it's the part of my body I dislike the most, I grit my teeth and let her because she does it out of love. But all that squeezing must have left her with some nagging questions.
Mama, when I grow up, will my arms look like yours?
What do you mean, honey?
I mean do all grown ups have those flaps on their arms?
(I once again grit my teeth and smile.) Your arms don't have to have them. If I did special exercises, they wouldn't be that way.
(She tilts her head and looks confused.) Why don't you do those exercises?
(By this time, I'm getting a little defensive.) Do you think I look bad, Izabella?
No! (She runs to me and hugs me close.) I love you, Mommy. (She pulls away and pats my arm and I can tell she's just genuinely curious about the changes a person goes through to get an adult body. To her ten year old mind, people don't look good or bad, they just either love her or they don't.)
But I've been doing my special "upper body" exercise tape ever since!

My daughter says I'm "squishy."
Sigh.
So should I be concerned that Davis loves my arms and my tummy?
Ha! I have squishy arms too. I thought picking up little kids all day would count as exercise, but I was wrong. Still squishy. *sigh*
Izabella sounds adorable, kids are just so honest with how they say things.
My daughter is only 2.5 and se is noticing that people are different ad is very curious about why. She noticed a pregnant women the other day and promptly told me she's fat so we had the chat that she isn't fat but she has a baby in there so now every heavier person is pregnant. You just can't win. lol
Thanks for visiting my blog and your lovely comments.
Dorothy is the Dinosaur out of the Wiggles. Do you know the children's group that are known for their coloured scivvies? It is an Australian group so maybe not as well known in the States.
In regards to my dimensional pages, I use Printblocks sleeves in the D ring binders or Carven albums. Both fit the pages in so well that they have room to move.
I feel that they are a bit bigger then 12x12 as they fit comfortably. I think both ae Australian brands too and so cheap. (around $20 for the Carven and $20 for the binder and $10 for 10 sleeves. lol)
This post has me crackin' up! I would like to be one of those women who could wear sleevelss tops and not feel self conscious!
