Sunday Scrappin'

Due to technical difficulties, I wasn't able to blog yesterday and I had such a fun Scrolling Saturday post, too! I guess you'll have to tune in next Saturday to read my well-written, witty, hilarious post! But for now, here's my Sunday Scrappin' offering.

I did 9 pages this week, the last five at my sis-in-law, Snizzle-Sis's, house last night, bringing my total to 59 for the year. Here's a few of them:

I used five different papers and two kinds of ribbon to make my own custom paper for these before I even began to scrap my pictures.

I don't know if you can tell, but this one is really dimensional. Those flowers and that pink frame have little bits of Styrofoam under them so they stand out. I've had those embellishments for years in my box and never thought of how to use them. But then I read how this one lady puts her own "kits" together with matching paper, ribbons, scraps, embellishments, etc, into a 12x12 bag and then brings them to scraps. Looking though my embellishment box, I thought they kinda matched the stuff I already had in the kit I was making, so I threw them in there. I'm glad I did.

I put buttons this one, but they don't really show up. I though it was a waste, but Snizzle-Sis told me that they add to the dimension of the pages, so it's all good!

This one was going to be a two-page layout, but I was able to get them all onto one, which is good since I printed a blog entry about that day to put on the other page and those are big! This page is crowded, but I still like it. Like my Snizzle-Sis says, the goal is to get as many pictures on a page as possible, and I got 6 pictures and a title on this one. When each year is approximately 100 pages, I can't spend much time or money on a page!

Bonus question: How long could you keep crafting without buying new supplies?
Answer: Without adhesive, I couldn't go much longer than a week...I go through that stuff like no one's business. But as for the rest, I could go a long time, although my pages wouldn't look nearly as good...I rely heavily on pattered paper and ribbon to do much of the work, and once I used up my current purchases and just had old stuff, my pages would look really plain.

Hope you all are having a great weekend!!!

I can see the buttons, and I really like them! :) I think that layout is my favorite, but they all look good.

Dear me, you're cookin'. That's a LOT of pages done. Great job!!! I love the pic of you and Mr. Shumway at the Children's Museum. And the one of you and the girls looking up. Keep jamming on those layouts, sister.

Um, Brandon and I are still sick. His eyes look TERRIBLE. No fever though, and he's happy through it (unlike a few weeks ago) so that's a big positive. And since I have the whole upper respiratory "stuff" *less* Bronchitis, I'm happy too. Now if we could just FEEL better.

Carl said he can drop your paper off tomorrow after pottery (he'd be there by around 10:45a). Is that okay? You'll have enough solid cardstock to last you a month of Sundays, lol (which means using it up guilt free).
Blessings,
~Toni~

Awesome, Sniz, awesome! We should have a Scrap Down sometime!!!!...see who can scrap the most in a couple of hours! I know you'd probably win but it'd be fun. I did that once with my UT friends on a 'Scrap Retreat'. We had a prize, a gift card to JoAnn's for the winner that everyone chipped in on.

Wish we could go on a Scrap Retreat like NOW! Sorry I can't...

Love,

Snizzle-Sis

Beautiful! I posted pics of my dad's scrapbook, if you haven't visited since I posted them. They aren't nearly as well-done as yours...but he liked it anyway. :-)

Ms. Sniz...well you have really gotten me motivated. Because of you, I have started getting those pics off my hard drive and to the printers. Your pages are just beautiful! I wish I knew you in real life.

You make really lovely scrapbooks. Its the kind of thing I have always meant to do but never got round to it. I have tried to encourage the Grand daughters to make scrap books, but although they have fun, because of their age, they will never be kept I fear. My 3 yr old chops the pictures I save from magazines into hundreds of tiny pieces, that are then stuck in! I should write a post about this!

O.k. i don't scrp book because the whole thought of being that creative scares me. I will try it someday. Your pages looked awesome. might have to steal some ideas when I start ....someday.

Great job. Saturday night I sat down and made 4 pages of my own, but you have me beat with 9! Wow!

Thanks for the encouraging words on my post, and the ideas. It is nice knowing there is a whole support group out there rooting for me to do well!

Cute pages!

Creative expression always requires more material than you need at any given time. You need to browse through your stuff to see what you need for each page.

(How am I doing? Does this work for 'reasons to get more stuff for scrapping...?)

They look great! You asked if I scrap... I do, technically, I suppose, but it has been AGES. I'm hoping to do a LOT this summer. We'll see. Scott even built an entire scrapbook room for me, but I never use it! Shameful.

I love using ribbon and buttons. I have not found a great adhesive for ribbon, though. What do you use?

Wow, those look great! I have been contemplating scrapbooking, but I can't seem to find the time in the day to catch up on my Google reader, let alone feed myself. Maybe I have to wait until the boys start keeping each other occupied or going to preschool.

Wow! I am so impressed! I really need to finish that baby gift so I can try and catch up with you. :-)

WOW - awesome!!! I love your style.

You have given me a few ideas...I am going to try to get a few pages done myself!!!

thanks for sharing!

Can I be like you when I grow up? I am so impressed! I would love to scrapbook but I think I would accumulate a ton of materials (I looove the stickers and stuff in the scrapbook aisle) and no pages to show for it. I'm kinda like that. :)

Your nephews are so lucky to have you around. I've read so many times that when a child has just one adult thinking they are number one, it makes all the difference in their self worth. You are definitely in their lives for a reason!!!

Your pages are awesome!!! You have got to be psyched about moving steadily toward your goal!!! Good job!!

Aw, Snizzers, thank you for the compliment! Want to hear something crazy? I had a dream last night that I called you and said I wanted to write a book, have any pointers? Crazy, huh?! (I do someday, but who knows about what...?!)
